About the Project
The Supply Chain Management Verification System is a decentralized platform designed to authenticate products across global supply chains. It leverages Verifiable Credentials (VCs) and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) based on W3C standards to ensure legitimacy at every step. The backend is built with Node.js and integrates Cheqd’s decentralized identity network for secure verification processes. On the frontend, a responsive React.js interface allows users to scan QR codes, upload files, or input credential data to verify authenticity in real time.

The core purpose of this system is to establish transparency, trust, and traceability within supply chain ecosystems. By verifying product credentials at multiple checkpoints, it helps eliminate the risk of counterfeiting and unauthorized distribution. How It Works
▫️Credential Issuance: A verified authority (e.g., manufacturer) issues a Verifiable Credential (VC) for a product using Cheqd’s identity SDK.
▫️Credential Sharing: This VC is embedded in the product’s QR code, downloadable as a file, or shareable via a secure link.
▫️User Access: The end-user (e.g., distributor or retailer) scans the QR code or uploads the VC through the platform’s intuitive frontend.
▫️Verification Engine: The backend processes the VC through Cheqd’s verification service, checking issuer identity, digital signatures, revocation status, and expiration.
▫️Result Display: The platform displays a full report, showing whether the product is genuine, along with trust level, issuer info, and metadata.
